- Personal Injury
Raelyn joined the WVFK&N team as an associate attorney in 2024. Prior to joining the team, Raelyn clerked for the Honorable Kathryn Grill Graeff at the Appellate Court of Maryland and has worked as an educator through Teach for America. As an attorney, Raelyn continues her work supporting underserved children and advocating for their rights by using her legal expertise to defend families in the DMV from negligent healthcare providers.
After graduating from The Catholic University of America, Raelyn joined Teach for America, a highly selective national teacher corps of recent college graduates who commit two years to teach in under-resourced public schools. Raelyn taught ninth grade English at Metro Nashville Public Schools while earning her Master of Education. Following this endeavor, Raelyn attended the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where she earned the highest performance grade in legal writing and served several leadership positions, including Managing Editor for the Sports and Entertainment Law Journal, President of the Children’s Legal Advocacy Group, Research Assistant, and Coach of the Moot Court and Student Trial Lawyers’ Association.
During law school, Raelyn held six externships, including highly selective judicial externships with the Chief Justice of the Colorado Supreme Court, a state juvenile trial judge, and a federal judge from the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado. Raelyn also worked as a law clerk for two personal injury and medical malpractice law firms, as well as an extern for the Colorado Juvenile Defender Center.
As a student attorney in the University of Denver’s Civil Litigation Clinic, Raelyn obtained a permanent protection order for a client facing domestic abuse. Following the protection order, Raelyn represented the client in a property dispute over her dog, which resulted in the court awarding the client full possession and ownership. Raelyn further defended a tenant in an eviction action that resulted in a successful settlement agreement between the landlord and tenant.
Following law school, Raelyn moved to Maryland to clerk for the Honorable Kathryn Grill Graeff at the Appellate Court of Maryland where she assisted with the writing and editing process of more than thirty judicial appellate opinions, both reported and unreported.

Why did Raelyn join the WVFK&N team?
“In 2015, I experienced a traumatic brain injury that changed my perspective on life forever. Although my injury did not stem from medical malpractice and I have substantially healed, I gained a heightened level of empathy for those experiencing pain and suffering, especially in the form of an invisible disability. I practice personal injury and medical malpractice law because it gives me the opportunity to advocate passionately for those injured by medical negligence and malpractice. Medical malpractice law also is intellectually fascinating to me. Each case is unique, and I enjoy the challenge that each case brings.
I was drawn to work at WVFK&N not only for its nationwide prestige and successful outcomes for its clients, but because WVFK&N truly cares about its clients’ lives, both throughout the case and beyond.”
